The Rawlings Heart of the hide gloved have always been a very respected glove in baseball, they are a cost effective glove made from good leather. The glove is light weight and now with the addition of the new "Dual core technology" (first featured on the Primo) makes the glove a little heavier but much more durable and will keep its shape for a longer period of time.
Here is what Rawlings had to say.
"This Heart of the Hide Dual Core model features a conventional back and the Modified Trap-Eze Web pattern, which is an extremely strong web that provides ball snagging functionality. This popular 11 1/2" model is primarily used at the shortstop/pitcher position at the Pro Level. It can also be used at 2nd and 3rd base positions at the college/high school level. This new Heart of the Hide leather is tanned softer for that game ready feel with the durability and consistency remaining the same. The softness of the new leather allows for less break in time. This Series of gloves now features Dual Core Technology, which is position specific break points in the glove pattern."
The Good
-Great Leather.
-Durability.
-Dual Core Technology.
-Only $210.00
-Can be customized.
-Sturdy Glove.
The Bad
-Slightly heavier then previous HOH models.
The Overview
This is an exceptionable glove for a great price, i would recommend and use this glove at the professional level.

Rawlings Primo
The first review i will be doing is on the outfield glove that i am currently using.
It is the most expensive glove Rawlings offers and in my opinion is the best glove they make.
Here is what Rawlings say about the glove.
"The Rawlings Primo Series combines quality and innovation to produce a new standard in the world of baseball gloves. With only a limited amount produced, the finely crafted Primo glove is the ultimate choice for baseball`s elite and soon-to-be elite. Primo is truly a masterpiece of design. Born in the Tuscany region of Italy, European full-grain leather is marked by a tight grain structure allowing for a flawless appearance. These gloves consist of two layers of the richest in Italian leather work together to create a pocket built for maximum performance and to provide durability and comfort. Strategically placed break points allow the glove to close according to your position`s demands. Additionally, hand sewn welting is placed along the outside of the glove eliminating the conjoining leather piece that would normally rub against your thumb. The third layer of Italian calf lining creates a luxuriously smooth feel unlike any other while the 100% wool padding adds an extra layer of cushion. Comfort without losing function. Primo leather and lacing undergoes an intensive hot-stuffed injection treatment that repels water and ensures durability. Additionally, the laces are tested to 100# tensile strength, creating a shape that endures all conditions. Finally, the Primo gloves provide superior comfort. The inner palm and lining adjust to the shape of the outer palm in order to absorb the impact of the ball".
Now I have been using this glove for nearly 2 years and it is still in great shape, it took me about 2 months to completely break it in to perfection. The break in stage took this long because i only break in my gloves by playing catch and taking groundballs and flyballs, i feel it just makes for a better break in.
The leather is amazing, it has not torn at all and has hardly worn out at all, i do not condition my glove because i do not like the added weight it puts on the glove however if you like doing this then that is fine.
There is a downfall on the primo series, due to the dual core technology and the thicker/denser leather the glove is quite heavy, personally i like heavy gloves better however some people hate the fealing of a heavy glove.
The Good
-Amazing build quality.
-Best leather in the glove market.
-Glove is extremely durable.
-Most comfortable glove i have used.
-Glove will keep its shape great.
The Bad
-Big $399 price tag.
-Heaviest glove Rawlings makes.
-Long break in time.
-Only comes in the "oxblood" color.
The overview
If you want a great glove that will keep its shape great and is great for season after season use and your not worried about a big price tag or a heavy piece of leather than this is the perfect glove for you.
